In 2011, SEW facilitated two pilot programs. The first was at Project for Pride and Living in the CVI housing complex, serving 5 to 10 mothers with mental health issues from low-income households. This group had a 50% completion rate for the 12-session curriculum. SEW maintains contact with all mothers who identified as Standard Edition Women.
The second pilot took place concurrently at Pillsbury United Communities, working with 10 to 20 teenagers in the FANS Program who faced barriers to escaping poverty and pursuing higher education. Currently, SEW is running a group at the Neighborhood Involvement Program.
