I haven’t been able to find a space that is welcoming and safe where I can express my feelings, be heard, and receive positive feedback. I attended a healing session and was able to keep it real with my self. No I don’t want to go jail, no I don’t want to lose my life to the streets, and I don’t want to contribute to the cycle continuing! Being in a space with like minded people made me feel comfortable and heard, I feel like these healing sessions can open the minds of young men seeking a way out of the streets, because it did for me.
